The island of Ko Chang is a tropical marine national park. Its hinterland consists of over 70% virgin rainforest and is the best preserved tourist holiday destination in Thailand. Situated to the east of the country in the province of Trat on the Cambodian border, it's Thailand's second largest island after Phuket.

Elephant Trekking : Top

Ban Kwan Chang or the Klong Son Elephant Camp is supported by the Asian Elephant Foundation to provide a natural environment for elephants and their mahouts (Kwan, in Thai). It is located at Klong Son. The camp opens with a half-day tour from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. which include elephant bathing, feeding, performance and a one hour elephant trek into the forest. The cost is 900 Baht inclusive of transportation to and from your resort.

 

 

Waterfall:Top

There are a series of scenic waterfalls across the island. It costs 200 baht to enter the national parks. On the east coast the Nam Tok Mayom waterfall has three waterfalls and can be climbed in under an hour. A smaller waterfall at Nam Tok Klong Phu on the west coast can be reached via Khlong Prao. There are plunge pools to cool yourself off after the trek to the falls. There are other, less impressive falls in Khlong Son, White Sands Beach and Kai Bae.

KLONG PLU WATERFALL: This tree-tier water is a pleasant place to swim and relax, near Klong Prao and Kai bae Beaches.
KLONG NONSI WATERFALL: At the northermsot of koh chang, offers the spectacular wonder of bird watching ; alterntively, ride moutain bikes for added thrills.
KLONG NUENG WATERFALL: Is a small waterfall located at Salak Phet
KIRI PETCH WATERFALL: There is a pool at the first level, located near salak Phet Village.
THAN MAYOM WATERFALL: This magnificient four-tiered waterfall is the most famous and popular on Koh Chnag; King Rama V and King Rama VI once visited it and inscribed names on the stones on the highest cliff of the cascade.

KLONG SON: Is the first village, there are many local people lived there. the visitor can found many activities there.
BANG BAO:A very interesting site to visit for the resident like any fisherman′s village, fresh sea food can be easily obtained there.
SALAK PHET:Is located on the east coast of Koh Chang and it′s popular for is fresh sea food who represent the local lifestyle and there are inexpensive boat for rent.There are also severall accommodations and small resort around the bay.
